4 x 1500m

I feel much better today than yesterday. On these longer rep 6k prep sessions I said I wanted to work them down to 1:40 pace. In order to judge how much work that will take I decided to go for the first rep at 1:40 today and judge from there.

2k warm up = 7:36.7 / 1:54.1 / 23

4 x 1500m / 5min rest:
4:59.6 / 1:39.8 / 29 <– Not feeling easy so back off pace slightly
5:02.7 / 1:40.9 / 29 <– controlled and feeling better
5:02.4 / 1:40.8 / 29 <– feeling good now
4:56.6 / 1:38.8 / 30 <– neg split finishing strongly with some left

20:01.3 = 6000m / 1:40.1 / 29

The final 1500m rep beat the pace of the single 2500m yesterday, so I am sure I can go faster on that. 1:41's feel good and a nice cuisey sort of pace for these reps at the moment, so I think I could probably do the 4 x 2k around 1:41 – 1:41.5 at the moment, and it's this session that I want to get back down sub 1:40 average.
